Sending parent task reporter an email on sub-task update

Hey,

I'm trying to send an email notification to the reporter of a task every time when an associated sub-task is being updated.

Another option is simply add the parent task reporter's email as a field in the sub-task, this way I could trigger a Zapier flow and send an email to the reporter using the created field.

Is there any easy way to implement this feature?

Hello,

I guess you can not do it out of the box. You can create a custom field, where you would store the reporter of the main task, but you would need to fill the field by using a plugin like Power Scripts or Scriptrunner.
