Starting up another Jira server with the same production license

Just wondering what will happen if I start another Jira server (v7.7) that has the same production license installed.  I need another Jira server for testing and my intention is to install a developer license there.

Would it be ok to just start up the test server running the production license, and then change the license in the system settings? Or would this disturb the production server?

We're also running Confluence (v6.8).  Is it the same deal there?

Thanks

Hi @nigelb14,

Yes, if you are refreshing the production data in the stage data, then you can update the developer license once the system is up and running. The same applies to JIRA and Confluence.

To get the developer license, please follow the steps as instructed here

Thanks,
