Status position changed in the issue view (can it be changed to the old position?)

Hello, 

I tried to find any clue about this change but there is no mention anywhere and it really suprised me. 

After updating Jira Server (Including Jira Service Management) from 8.22 to 9.4.1 the Status position changed from the issue view (looking as a field) to the opsbar replacing the worklfow button:

Old status look and position (looking as a field)

New status look and position (Repleacing the workflow button)

Anyone can tell me more about this? Can it be set to the old position?

I can't find any information about this change.

Hi @David A , 

This is a change introduced in Jira 9.0 as documented here.

I'm afraid there's no feature toggle for this.
It might get some getting used to, but it's in line with the Cloud view.

It is a pity that the change is for a less obvious situation. Before the status was clear where it was. Kind of weird.
