Suggestions on Jira Service Desk and Jira Core notifications from different email addresses?

Attempting to change at PROJECT level as suggested in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-2075 hasn't worked for us, and https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-5858 says Workaround No Workaround, but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions please! (More in hope than expectation) Thanks for reading, Tom
