Tagging users in a linked description forms field

I have several forms in our service portal where I have linked a paragraph-type text field to the description field.

I recently noticed that it is not possible to tag users within this field in the completed form. The "@" symbol does not show any suggestions and does not turn blue.

If the description field is not linked to a forms field, everything works as expected.

Is there a solution for this?
Am I not supposed to link forms fields to Jira fields if I want to keep the tagging functionality?

Hi @Sven 

That symptom appears to be a known limitation, and here is a suggestion to resolve it.  You may watch / vote for it to see progress.

As you describe the mention does work when the field is not linked, you could try using an automation rule to copy the field contents to the Description field when the form is submitted.  (I have not tried this to learn if it works.)
