Time Tracking - Log Work Question

Hello, 

When i go to more - log work- work description field , I cannot add any JIRA users who need to be notified. Is there a way to fix that?

I don't think that the Work Description is configured as a "Wiki Renderer" where can you use Macros like "mentions". It's a plain text field.
