Time need to create issue

Hi, I looking for informations about how much time take Jira for creating issue from GUI. Is this information logged in log files? We tell about situation when user set all fields in create issue screen and click on Create buton, i have to trac time from this moment to moment when issue is created.

Hi Tomasz,

this information is not logged by default and troubleshooting the performance on a Jira instance is not a trivial thing and depending on many factors.

Just think of possible post functions triggering different actions that can take some time. I've been sitting in front of Jira instances were creating a single issue could take way more than 30 seconds because of mad things happening in the background. So what is the initial reason for you to find out how long it takes to create an issue? Maybe we can find another angle for you. For example, if we can rule out a bad configuration like I mentioned we would have to look at other things like the resources Jira can use etc.
