Mohamed El Taweel March 25, 2018

user belongs to groupx
In the Permission Scheme , the groupx is granted browse , create , do transition

On the transition I set a condition "Only users in group groupx can execute this transition."

User can create ticket but no transition button appear in-spite there is no condition on the transitions revoke him.

What could be the reason?

Try to use permission helper. Go to the issue detailed view and choose admin -> permission helper:

Selection_032.pngThen choose the user and transition issue permission and have a look, if the user has the permission

"Only users in group groupx can execute this transition"

Error :
Status: Mostafa Hussein does not have the 'Transition Issues' permission

JIRA Service Desk has overridden this permission :  user must have a JIRA Service Desk license and Service Desk Agent permission on this project.

Project Role: Mostafa Hussein is not a member of any of these project roles: Administrators, Service Desk Team

You can change this by going to the 'Procurement' project roles and adding Mostafa Hussein to the missing role(s)

Ahh, sorry, I keep forgetting Service Desk does that.

Exactly as it says, your user is not an Agent.  They need to be an agent to perform these transitions.

Mohamed El Taweel March 25, 2018

How can I make that user an agent?

Have you tried reading the message instead of just pasting it here and asking us to read for you?

You should got to the Applications -> Application access and have a look at what group a user must be to get the agent permission. Then include the user to the group.

Your condition is wrong, or the user is not in groupx
