Trying to edit Fields in View screen rather than having to open edit screen

Jira Cloud - Software Project 

Previously I have been able to edit both Jira fields (i.e. Description) and Custom Fields (multi line text) on the detail view issue screen. I am not sure when this changed but I can no longer edit these fields unless I click through to the edit screen. 

Weird thing is the new pop up view issue screen from my Kanban board allows me to edit these fields as per normal, but when I open the the full details view, I loose that ability.

Hi @Josh Shelton 

Although the cloud view has changed since 2019, this could be a short problem while changing to the new viewing experience.
