Trying to take one permission set and create a new one so that one team only sees one project

Need some urgent help on creating a specific permission - I went to permission set created a new permission of one team and they were good, when i went in to do that same for this new team to only see one project i cannot get the same output. Is there something special i need to do???

We use Templates for replicating the controls related to permissions, and it is easy to apply the template for multiple teams.

What did you do the first time exactly? Did you gave the permission by adding people? It could be that you did the same for the new team (different project?) but if there is different permission scheme attached to the project than the output can differ......
