Unsubscribing from Jira emails

Is there any way to NOT get automated emails from Jira?  I work off the kanban board and find zero use for the emails.  They just clutter up my inbox like mad.

I can only see that either a whole PROJECT is configured to get emails or not, but logically every user should be able to turn email notifications on & off, no??

Hi Marci,

Take a look at the Community post How can users disable Jira email notifications as it can provide some suggestions that may work for you.  There are a range of suggestions from  removing yourself from the Watchers list of issues to using an add-on such as Email Notifications Digest that "enables JIRA users to group JIRA notifications and send them as a digest at a scheduled date/time."
