Dear members,
I've to start work on the JIRA upgrade. Our current version is 6.3.15 and OS is Windows server 2003 (32 bit), and I'm looking to upgrade to the latest JIRA 8.0.2.
1. Can anyone help me with the pre-requisites needed?
2. Is it possible to directly upgrade to latest version or do I've to upgrade to version 7.0 first (as mentioned in the documentation)?
3. I only have application level access. Is it possible to work on the upgrade without having database or server level access?
4. Our OS is Windows server 2003 (32 bit), upgrading with this OS will have any issues?
5. Is there any way to get any immediate support from the Atlassian team if we get any issues during upgrade process or do we have to rely on the tickets raised?
Please see if anyone can help? Thanks for your support.
Hi!
1. Please, read info from migration hub. https://confluence.atlassian.com/migration/jira-7
2. Play on test
3. Write all checklists
4. Evaluate on production
1. And think about Partners https://partnerdirectory.atlassian.com
2. Review all errors on platform level
3. Check apps in new system or replace by other one
Cheers,
Gonchik Tsymzhitov
