Upgrading when I am on JIRA 7 +

Charlene Kuntz March 21, 2016

If I have JIRA Core, JIRA Software, and JIRA Service Desk, when I want to upgrade do I need to upgrade three times now?  One for each application?

I can not find any documentation on this and do not see the upgrade notes for the 7 + versions.  A link would be very helpful.

You need to run an upgrade for each installation you have.

At the root of all the options you have for JIRA, there is JIRA Core.  That needs downtime to be upgraded.

The other two applications are systems that you add to JIRA Core (or, if you download one of them as an installer, it does the addition for you).  Once installed, you can upgrade either of them by using Admin -> Manage Applications -> Upgrade
