Using JQL with smart value in automation

Hello!

I would like to compare whether a reporter has received a ticket in project A.
We want to create this automation rule to prevent the same user from opening duplicate tickets when this value is the same as the custom field "E-mail" and the reporter.

 

More specifically, except that you have registered an issue with Project A and the status is cancelled.

So I'm trying like the image below. Audit log says it was successful, but the ticket is not canceled.

Hello, Good day. Automation rule will be triggered only after the duplicate ticket is created, we don't have the option to run the rule before issue creation. 

You could explore addons from Atlassian market place for this requirement.
