Hi Atlassian Community,
We have a large complex on-prem installation of Jira Software Server v6.4. We are planning to upgrade by the end of the year and would like advice on which version we should upgrade to. I understand that Jira Software v7.6 is designated as the "Enterprise" release which seems appropriate for us, but I am concerned that it goes end-of-life in Nov 2019. Comments, feedback and advice are welcome!
Thanks, Dana
Hi Dana,
7.13 will be an enterprise release and is scheduled for this November. So it should be there very soon.
Best, Max

@Dana Seehale do note that upgrading from 6.4, you'll need to first upgrade to 7.0.11 before continuing on to your target version. There are upgrade tasks that exist in the 7.0 releases which aren't in the installer files for later releases. You can still upgrade to 7.6 or 7.13 - you'll just need to use the 7.0 installer to upgrade to 7.0 and successfully start Jira before shutting it down and continuing to the version you want. More information is available at the migration hub.
Cheers,
Daniel
