Why date started changes while logging work?

Elif Kiy February 2, 2018

When we log work to on a issue, it changes the date started to previous day (n-1)? However, it looks correct while the log work window is open. Any ideas, recommendations?

I have changed default time zone under internationalization to system default and it started working correctly. Somehow it doesnt work when default time zone is different than system default.

Thanks for your help Brant.

Elif,

This has to do with JIRA using the default user time zone.  You can find information about this here https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-59495?src=confmacro  The path to change the timezone is Admin, System, Settings, Default user time zone

Unfortunately it doesnt work. Although my default time zone is correct, it stills logs my work to previous day.

Did you try changing the JIRA "Default user time zone" under "General Configuration" to see if this resolved the issue?  If you are using cloud I believe this is what you have to do to resolve the issue.

Hi Brant, Thanks for your interest. Yes, I checked my  "Default user time zone" under "General Configuration" and it seems correct ((GMT+03:00) Istanbul). However, It still shows the logged work to previous day. It looks correct on the log work window but it is assigned to previous day on "work log" tab :(
