Why is my discovery board not allowing me to create delivery tickets?

I have created a discovery board with different fields and views. 

When trying to create the linked delivery ticket for the ideas ticket, I am receiving an error message stating

 

"We failed to create the delivery tickets given the available data." (see below)

I thought a work-around would be creating the ticket in the delivery board, and then linking to existing. However, none of my tickets appear in the dropdown to link to the delivery board. (see below)

Please can I have some assistance as to why this would be happening so I can make the necessary changes? Thanks.

Hi @Ethan Rennie-Degg -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Do you have permissions to create issues in that other project?

Does the other project's issue type have required fields which are not possible to complete from the JPD view?

Hey Bill,

Yes, you are right! This is resolved now through the permissions not being set in the roles - I had to be added to a particular team as well as an admin.
