autofill dialog box

Under issue search I got to "more" and click on a custom field name I want to gather info on. Then a little dialog box opens on the left hand side (see attachment). Can I get this to autofill, when I start typing a name?

why is autofill not working on the field?

it will search for the options of that custom field. If it is free text it must be exact.
