how to make a group picker custom field read only

Hi,

I am using the behaviours plugin to do so which works ok except that the icon next to the right of the field still appears, so the user is able to modify the value of the field that way which defies the purpose of what I am trying to accomplish. Any ideas how to hide/disable that icon so my group picker custom field is effectively read-only?

You can try removing that icon using javascript . You will need to apply th javascript in the field description of the field configuration .

Thank you for your answer. I am using jira 6.2.2 and according to the documentation adding javascript in the field description does not work any longer from jira 6.2 and newer. Any other suggestions?
