it's possible to move or the tickets from Jira Service Management (JSM) to a Jira Software project board?
Hi @Dilli Babu You can move issues using the Bulk Move function from the JSM project to Jira Software project. However, you need to take the following into consideration before doing the move.
1. What are the important fields that you need to retain from the JSM project. If you have any important field values, you need to make sure the Jira software project has those fields. Otherwise you will lose those values.
2. Check if there are any mandatory fields in the Jira software project. You may not have values for those in the JSM project. Revert these to optional during the move and make them mandatory again after setting values for the moved issues.
3. Check the workflow. You can map to a relevant status while doing the move.
4. Do you have any automations in the current project? Please check their functionality and how to add them to the Jira Software project.
5. Please note: You will lose the customer portal after moving those issues, request types for those issues, SLAs on those issues etc.
Hope this helps.
Thank you Anandhi..
Currently i've set-up JSM for the customer support.
Once we received ticket from customer, I have to assign the ticket to developers which there are in the JIRA software project.
Not bulk move function.

Hi @Dilli Babu You can do this using Automation Rules. Based on a condition or a workflow transition, you can move a specific issue to a development project and also assign to some user. Try something like this in the JSM project and let me know if it works :)

No documentation that I can share, but do you have any specific questions? Were you able to try out something like the above screenshot?
