I saw there isn't an option in Jira to filter multi user picker field by groups.
there is any workaround for this?
maybe using script runner?
Does anyone know if there is a Cloud AddOn that will incorporate this functionality?

I know this post is kinda old, but for what it's worth, it's planned for 8.4.0 :)

The request is in "Future Consideration" status and it has not been implemented for five years. And I do not know any option to achieve this without a plugin.
Enhancer Plugin's Filterable Multi-User custom field can be filtered by user, group or role.
