"Last Commented By" couldn't be used for search starting today, is there a workaround?

Hi

JIRA cloud does not allow to use “Last Commented By” field in search anymore:
“Field 'Last Commented By' is not searchable, it is only sortable."

It worked yesterday though. Is this some permanent change ? Are there any workarounds to this ?

please check the search template associated to that custom field (through edit details menu on custom field).

It should fix your issue,
