I think your upgrade has failed. You'll need to read the rest of the log to see what the root cause of the failed upgrade is.

Thanks. But, we haven't performed an update. We updated 2-3 weeks ago and JIRA has worked fine ever since. But, suddenly stopped working today. Windows might have cycled the server due to automatic updates for all I know. Our sys-admin is on holiday too, so I am on a bit of thin ice here.. I have logged an issue with Atlassian support though. Hopefully they can help shed some light on this. I'll see if I can find anything in any logs meanwhile...

The error is pretty clear in that it's detecting an upgrade is part done and it's failing.
It may be an add-on that needs to upgrade data though, the log should tell you what the upgrade is, and hopefully shed a bit more light on the specific error.
