rules within automation

Is there a possibility within automation to set the following rule
When Plan Date  equal to today then email the assignee

 

or is there another way to get this done:
Plan date ready is equal to today then email to assignee

You can set up this kind of rule but there is no mechanism that will just trigger based on that rule.

You'll have to make a Scheduled trigger which runs every hr, day, ... whenever you want and then have a condition which checks that JQL.

Based on the outcome you can add the "send email" action.
