slow running JQL queries: jira-slow-queries

We are experiencing JIRA slowness after upgrading to 7.11 version. And almost all queries in slow-queries log taking 8-9 seconds and we increased JVM memory to 1024MB.

Can you please help us to resolve the slowness?

JVM memory depends on a lot of factors, for example: 

• # of users 
• # of issues
• #of custom fields
• # of projects

Thank you for your info. 

Is every 2 hours backup causing an issue? and below are details about our JIRA.

• users - 15
• issues - 1000+
• custom fields - 10
• projects - 1

it should not affect the performance, but you can try to update the backup to be every 12 hrs and test it

OK I will do that change. 

Do you know what else could be the problem for slowness?

I have changed backup to 2 times a day but we still have a lot of slow queries.

I would recommend for you to file a service request and attach the server logs. The technical team will support in this case.
