Did you mean:

watch your issues and inherit from global

Did anyone notice recently if their users stopped receiving updates when issues they reported or are tagged in are updated? In our JIRA Cloud instance setting for Autowatch own issues is set to yes. Several users informed me of the problem and so far the only solution has been to for them to change  their personal notification settings under Settings in their profile.  All of them had Inherit from global setting. After they switched to Enabled  it works 100% of the time. Where is Inherit from global setting stored? This is for cloud version.

Hi Nicholas,

Thank you for reaching out to Community!

I saw that you created a ticket with our support related to the same issue and they are already helping you.

They found out that notifications were being bounced for your domain and it was removed, so notification should be working normally now.

As the question is the same, let's focus on the ticket to avoid any possible misunderstandings or miscommunication that may arise from discussing the same matter in two different platforms.

Once the ticket is resolved, feel free to share the resolution here to help other community members that may face the same issue.

Regards,
Angélica

That's not it. I was asking about where is Inherit from global setting stored for Watch my issues. Our User default settings is already set to autowatch but that's not what individual users had in their profile and they did not get those emails.

@Nicholas Starinsky- probably a bit late here but it might help others.

Inherit from global settings actually pulls the configuration from User Default Settings in Jira system administration.

To navigate there, go to Settings -> System -> Default user preferences (under User Interface section).

In there you have field Autowatch own issues which is by default set to Yes.
