Automation: Apply newly created fix version to issues

I'm attempting to create a scheduled rule that uses Create Version as a first step using the smart value rc-{{now.plusDays(7).jqlDate}}.  I would then like to find all items in statusCategory = Done and apply the new fixVersion to them.  

I can't seem to find a way to apply the newly created smart value to the items.  It doesn't look like the Edit issue > Fix Version accepts smart values.  

Having an option of "Last Created Version" might do it, though accepting smart value would be less error prone.  

I see under More options there is a way to apply changes via an object.  Is there a way to accomplish this through there?

Is there another action that could accomplish this?
