Connect cloud confluence to on premise jira

Wouter de Vries February 16, 2016

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Configuring JIRA Integration in the Setup Wizard

We currently have JIRA on premise and are considering to also use Confluence. What is missing from the setup guide is whether it is possible to connect a Confluence cloud instance to a JIRA on premise which is not publicly accessible from the internet.

I already noticed that the HipChat cloud integration with JIRA on premise leaves much to be desired. (it is one way)

Depends on what you're looking for from a "connection".  If it's about user directories, then no, it's not going to happen.  But if it's about simple links between them, there is some stuff you can do.

However, you say "JIRA ... not publicly accessible".  That pretty much rules out everything - there's no way you can link a Cloud system to a non-public system, because you can't create any route to it.
