Hi All,
I need to export a project to csv - this I'm hoping will enable me to see what structure the data is being stored in.
I want to edit a excel file and prepair it for import, hence needing to know the structure the data is in - basically field information - I guess.
I cant see how to export the data in csv. Can someone help please.
Thanks
James
Hi All,
I managed to look through the project as if I was going to add an new issue. Getting the field names from that, then editing my excel file to match. I then used the import / export facility in the back end of Jira. This may be a module - not entirely sure but its there in the installation Im working on. During the import it shows fields to which it will map the incoming data and give you options to change some of the mapping (this is really helpful) - from that I imported the data, initially in baby steps of 10 items at a time - then once I knew I had everything I wanted I went ahead and imported 100+ items with no issues.
Hope this helps others with the same question and thanks to those who replied.
James
You can download all issues in project by going to the JQL Query Advanced where you see the option to download in CSV format . Image attached

I tried to use TEXT IN COLUMNS with delimited with comma but it didn´t work... May be I have a mistake in Excel configuration???? HELP!!!!
