How validate issue link while linking?

Hi,

I want to check the status of the linking issue at the time of linking, is it possible to add validation anywhere?

Because I have added jira.permission.link.denied to user when the issue is closed of the project A, this is fine Link option has been disabled.

But I could easily link an issue to project A from project B even issue was closed of project A.

Any help?

This question was asked in a post titled Prevent transitions depending on the status of linked issues.  You can do this with an add-on such as ScriptRunner or the Bob Swift CLI.
