Perhaps I am blind and this is a stupid question:
Is there a way to list spaces according to a SPECIFIC space category?
The task is to list all "project"-spaces in a space for a team which owns this projects.
I know the macro "space-list" and it's category-option that generates a form where I can choose a category. But what I need is a space list for a specifig given category (the team).
Something like the old space labels feature:
{spaces:labels=mySpaceLabel}
Which is still working for very old spaces, but not for new ones.
Any suggestions apart from commercial plugins?
Thanks!
Matze
FWIW, I could not find any method to get categories on the Space object. I consider this to be a feature gap.
Perhaps SpaceTree plugin which allows you to specify the space categories: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.simplenia.confluence.plugins.spacetree

Hello TeckEn,
we will use this plugin, if we can't find a "build in" or "user macro" solution.
I still hope there is one for this core feature ;-)

I need this functionality too, but we have cloud, not server. The plugin is not an option.

There seems to be a velocity method to retrieve the space "category", but weirdly it's called 'team labels" in de developer documentation. And frankly speaking … I couldn't figure out how to utilize it.

Apparently an issue has been created to bring the old space category feature back : https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-25987

Agree, this seems to be a serious gap in functionality.
If we have the ability to label and group Spaces as Categories in the Space Directory, is there no way within a regular page to simply list all of the Spaces that are in a given Category?
