Hi,

I have multiple regular project, and i just created a next-gen project.

I wish to update status of linked issues,

The automation rule is a global rule which i defined on regular project, and searches for linked issues to update their status as well.

Currently i'm getting errors like: "No transitions to specified status could be found for".

the next-gen project is a kanban board which has relevant statuses.

Itzik.

Hi Itzik,

Unfortunately we're tracking quite a few issues with NextGen projects in Cloud currently, due to a number of API breakages and inconsistencies introduced by Atlassian around NextGen: https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/browse/AUT-1322

I think in your case the problem is that the status in your NextGen project is different to the status used in other projects (even though it has the same name, but different ids internally!).  What you could try is to create two rules here:

  • One rule just in the NextGen project (if it's a project specific rule, you should only get the statuses from that project, so it should be the correct one)
  • Keep your global rule, but explicitly exclude the NextGen project with a JQL condition

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
Andreas
