BigPicture - Share resource availability between programs

Dear JIRA colleagues,

I would have a question concerning the availability of shared resources between programs.

We have global teams, with resources being shared let’s say between two BigPicture Programs. We would like to set the availability of this common resource as follows:

• 70% available for tasks of Program 1.
• 30% available for tasks of Program 2.

We have tried the different options of the plugin and we did not find how to do it, considering that it seems a basic need that should be fulfilled somehow!

Either we use a global team and the availability is shared between programs (70% for everyone), either we copy a global team and the availability stays local to the program (70% for each program). Impossible to configure real availability sharing between programs.

That's a very interesting question. 

Did you consider creating two global Teams? One assigned to Program 1 with users' membership set to 70% and similarly second assigned to Program 2 with users' membership set to 30%? Here I have good news. We are currently working on a new feature that will enable viewing overall Teams' capacity & workload on a Portfolio level. Please have a look at the feature request ticket - ONE-34123.

If you prefer that all members are visible as part of one Global Team and assign the same group to particular programs, please let me know. I will pass your remarks to our Product Management Team, further analyzing your request.

We have this same issue. Have you find a solution other than copying the global teams to locals and put there de availability of the resource?
