Hello,
I have problems editing or deleting test steps that I created for tests in Jira using Zephyr. Once added, the test steps cannot be modified or removed. Could anyone please advise what might be wrong? Thank you very much!
Tomas
Hi Thomas,
Yes, I saw your response to Chris in another question. Just to clear this up for others in the future; this is caused by network traffic blocks and is not a particular fault with the plugin itself. If you find more details to your specific issue in the future, please feel free to post them here for others as well.
Have a good day too.
Regards,
Daniel
Hello Emily and Daniel,
Thank you very much for your messages, both of you. It turned out in the meanwhile that the client's firewall protecting the sites to which we (as external suppliers) are logging (and testing there using Jira, too) might be blocking part of the web traffic that is essential to most Zephyr functionalities. The system analysts at the client's site are looking into this now.
Thanks again and have a good day.
Best regards,
Tomas

Hi Thomas,
Since Test Steps are a custom field in JIRA, can you review the field in regards to permissions. Please check your user, group, and roles - as well as permissions related to the field itself and make sure that it is changable based on Adminsitration configuration rules.
Regards,
Daniel

Hi Tomas,
Is this just the test steps you are seeing this on? This is odd. What version of Zephyr for JIRA are you currently running and what verson of JIRA? Also, is this happening in all browsers or just the one you are using?
Lastly can you describe what it is you are seeing when you try to delete or edit a test step? Any screen shots would be helpful as well.
Kind Regards,
Emily
