Customise BigPicture Progress

Louis Z July 24, 2019

Our team use 'story/subtask' to manage Sprints.

However, we only set 'time estimation' and log time on subtasks, so their parent (story) has no time-tracking-related value. As a result, the 'progress' of any story is not shown in BigPicture (see figure below).

I wonder if there's a way to customise this 'progress' field, and the progress equals the percentage of subtasks which status == 'done'.

Many thanks.

Hello,

You need to configure your story status in order that they inherit status from their childs

Louis Z July 29, 2019

Thx, but where can I configure it? I couldn't find it in the 'project setting'.

By the way, I'm having trouble about 'story progress calculation' rather than 'story status transition'. I'm not sure if this would help.

Many thanks though. I guess I'll have to try ScriptRunner again.

From your BigPicture program dash board, select the program it concerne and click on the gear box icon and select configure menu to edit the configuration of your column view.

Then click Details button

From my Gantt chart my strory estimate is fetch from child sum

Thank you @sc.

I tried. It's so weird that only after I imported the subtasks, the original estimation of the story was added up, otherwise it was still 'null'.

However, it solved 90% of the problem. The final step is how to group those subtasks by their parent...

Go to your Program configuration and in synchornisation tab, activate sync sub task
