We want to sync defects from a HP Quality Center Project with a new JIRA Project.
Generally we can sync those defects/bugs from QC and JIRA with the HP ALM Synchronizer (with integrated plugin/adapter).
The "integrity check" is, with a new connected JIRA Project, successfull, but we get the following Error with the "incremental synchronisation" and "full synchronisation" :
" Synchronize: JIRA: Failed to create new record: [AR.0000] Failed call to the REST plugin: [AR.0000] Problem occurred in JIRA Plugin: 'Failed to get Layout Items: null'.
If we use the technical user, that we use for the synchronisation, to create a bug directly in JIRA, all fields (same as in the HP ALM Synchronizer Fieldmapping) are available and it is no problem to create a bug.
So the question is, why does it 'Failed to get Layout Items: null'?
Hi,
we found in the JIRA logs an error with 'null point exception' for the Field 'Project'. We configured the 'Project' name on the JIRA side, but the HPQC side needs also this information.
Fieldmapping should be like:
HPQC <--> JIRA
'Jira Project' = Project Key 'Project' = Project Key
That really helped Alexander, thank you.
Even though the project is set up in the connectivity tab of the syncronizer settings, we also had to configure it in the field mapping tab.

Hi @Alexander Doll, were you able to find what was the problem? I'm having a similar issue.
Thanks
