I love the JEMH plugin, because it helps us to set up a help desk solution. The current problem is, that we are not able to use the helpdesk for customers which would like to send and receive encryped emails (S/MIME). This is currently a mnust for us, because it is one of our biggest customer.
Is this feature planned in the future? PGP is not enough for us.
I know this is a very old question, but maybe this helps someone stumbling upon it:
S/Notify for Jira enables S/MIME and/or PGP email encryption in Jira and works with other vendors' apps as well. It supports both encryption of outgoing as well as decryption of incoming mail.
Hi Benni,
Encrypted mail support is (from support queries) not widely used, adding SMIME is something I want to do, its a balance of delivering best value to the largest number of customers at the moment, Id hope that SMIME would be in progress this year. Sponsored development of such must have features would be the only way to accelerate timelines, so drop me an email if you want to pursue that.
Meantime, https://thepluginpeople.atlassian.net/browse/JEMH-549is the parent issue for email encryption support in JEMH.
