Unable to Copy field (Component/s, Fix Version/s, Affected Version/s) values from Parent to Sub-task

Hi All,

Trying to copy Component/s, Fix Version/s, Affected Version/s values from parent to subtask. When a subtask is created manually.

Using Post function - "Copy Value From Other Field (JSU)". Please refer attachment.
From this function able to copy other field. For example other custom field values and also value in Labels. But not able to copy values from "Component/s, Fix Version/s, Affected Version/s values"

Do anyone please tell, Why failing to copy the values from mentioned field.
Why it works only with custom field or Labels?
Any other method to achieve it?


NOTE - I confirm using same fields in Parent as well as subtask. Also either in parent or subtask fields are not hidden, able to edit them. Do have required access. JIRA version 8.

Hi Dharnesh

The create transition is a bit special in Jira, which means the ordering is a bit different. You'll have to use two post-functions to copy all the fields: One before the issue is created in the system for all normal fields, and one after the issue is created for the Labels.
