Update Parent Story points by subtracting the story points set in issues linked to parent

Hi

We are using Jira Cloud and want to leverage automation for Jira to perform the below:

We estimate Epics at a high level before we create stories or tasks and assign points to them.

I want to be able to subtract the points set in stories or tasks from the story points set in the linked Epic

Example

Epic = 100 Points 

Linked Story or task gets set to 8 points

Then update the Epic points to 92

Etc

I also want to be able to go into a negative number in an Epic if at all possible

I looked at the smart values but can't seem to work it out.

You could use something like this to get started:

There are, however, a few edge cases that you'll need to consider e.g. what happens when you changes the story points of one of your stories from 5 to 10. At the moment, it'll subtract a total of 15 story points from the epic (first 5 then 10).

Also, by design the story points field only allows non-negative number. Jira won't even let you set it to a negative number manually.
