User Profile custom fields not available for reporting segments in Dataplanes, anyone know why?

Hi All - 

We have JIRA Service Desk, server version. 

We're using User Profiles and Dataplane Reports and we're finding that the custom fields we have for User Profiles aren't available for reports (segments) in Dataplanes reporting. 

Anyone else run into this issue? Do you have a solution? 

Right now our work around is as such, we've 2 fields one is the User Profile autopopulated field and the other is just a custom text field in which we select/enter the value from the autopopulated field into that field and then we can get reports on that field but this is a temporary solution.
