We are currently using a plugin by meetme to integrate jira with gerrit:

We are having problems loading issue reviews (and thereby entire issues) when workload is high on our gerrit server. From what I have read there is no version of the plugin which actually addresses this issue, so we have been forced to disable the plugin. Is there an alternative plugin which is better written and that can be used instead? Or is the best option to download the sourcecode and try to modify it?
