This past Wednesday, March 12, the Atlassian NYC ACE hosted one of the stops for the Atlassian Jira for all Teams 2025 Roadshow.
This was stop #13 out of 15 for the Jira evangelists who have been bringing the message of 'Just Jira' to the masses.
Announced at Team '24, Jira Software + Jira Work Management have been combined into a single offering 'Jira'. This dynamic duo coming together has brought functionality, layout and experience changes to Jira to make it accessible for all teams - breaking from the traditional 'Software and Development Team only' stigma, Jira is now a platform that can power success for ALL teams in an organization.
Presenters were @Shelley Wang, Senior Product Marketing Manager for Jira and @Warren Marusiak, Senior Technical Evangelist at Atlassian.
The night was MC'd by @Kapil Samadhiya and featured a Mentimeter game at the end to wrap up all of the knowledge shared and reward those that stayed and listened with prizes. And of course there was plenty of 🍕 🍺 and 🍷to keep everyone nourished and hydrated!
@Shelley Wang was the first presenter and took the crowd through the evolution of Jira and distinguished between the Jira family of products, Jira (Jira SW + Jira Work Management), Jira Service Management (JSM), Jira Align, and Jira Product Discovery (JPD). She also addressed the elephant in every room and discussed the product positioning of Jira and Trello and how they fit in to the Atlassian ecosystem. Shelly introduced the Jira Champion Pack, a collection of resources that have been curated to help users and admins convince stakeholders on the value of investing in the Jira suite. If you are a Jira customer, or thinking about adopting Jira, and will be attending Team '25 in Anaheim, CA next month, make sure to stop by the Jira Booth to discuss and discover all of the latest features in Jira! And if you won't be attending, no worries! You can shoot an email over to @Rachel Tang to book a 45 minute video conference with a member of the Jira team.
Our second presenter, @Warren Marusiak brought Shelley's presentation to life by demonstrating how the Atlassian Evangelist Team recently utilized the Jira suite to plan and execute a successful booth a set of presentations at Amazon Web Services' re:Invent conference in December 2024. From pulling together campaigns, designing the booth, and coordinating talk tracks, all of the work was completed in the Jira suite, providing stakeholders and team members real time insight into the planning and delivery process. Warren also demonstrated how Loom was a key tool in allowing team members to collaborate asynchronously across multiple time zones and countries.
