Hello.

Hope all is good!

What i mean by this?

Lets say we have an issue that needs to be reassigned at some stage of its existence.

Is there a way for us to, for example set a custom field in which when the assignee selects  user1, a dropdown menu pops up with list of other users, linked to user1.

In our environment we have physical shops all over the countrie, and we want when selecting,  lets say - shop 20 the filed to link all the managers working there.  Hope this makes sense.

Hi @Vasil Vasilev

Welcome to the community. Unfortunately, without the use of a few different apps, not really. Native functionality does not have the ability to look and dependantly filter a list of users based on another field like that. There is a cascading field option which would be the closest you could get, but if you want it specifically on user fields then no.

If you did use the cascading field option then you could use further automation to look at the value in the field when it was set and then auto set another user field, but this may get a little messy.

If you were to use a marketplace app such as some found on this list then it would be possible to have a dynamic dropdown on certain fields but again it would require a little maintenance to keep accurate.

Hopefully this makes sense.

Hey @Dan Tombs

Hope all is well.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to reply to my inquiry. Very much apricated!

I did come to the same conclusion - at least somewhat. Currently I was thinking to create my own plugin + one table in the Jira DB, and directly pull what I need from there. However, by the looks of it, maybe someone has already done that for me (via the shared by you marketplace). - Will examine in details!

Wishing you all the best!
