How can I trigger an alert from a generic RSS feed?

I would like to be able to trigger alerts when a new item is posted in an RSS feed

Hi @[deleted] - we don't have any integrations to create Opsgenie alerts from an RSS feed.

The best option would be to setup an email integration, and subscribe that email integration's address to the feed. or you can leverage our API to create alerts in Opsgenie via API if that's possible.

Just dropping by to ask WHY don't you have an RSS feed integration?  A lot of cloud services post status and updates via RSS, and it would make a lot of sense to be able to ingest those as alerts to an ops center.
