We are a vendor that provides IAC/virtual-NOC services for large buildings, where we do support for building owners
Each building (team) gets its own integration-API-key, a set of subnets ( service, currently 24 types) , with 2 incident creation rules for each service, with a stokeholder/audience setting different on each, etc
1 + 1 * 24 * 2 *2 *2 , or 384 separate operations with manual entry, each of which offers a chance to fat-finger it.
Every host on a given subnet has a default priority setting, but also there is a granular override ( VOIP phone in conf room is low priority, VOIP at the secure desk is high, etc)
So, we have a script that can scrape a team build back to bare metal, and rebuild all team settings, api-integration-key, all services, incident rules, stakeholder account, audience, etc, in a matter of minutes.
Are we the only company doing this? Anybody interesting in discussion about hw we have done it, what they did, etc?
