Hello,
We have a scenario where we have engineers with different management teams on call and then we have a second schedule with 'management teams' specified for that engineer.
Example
Engineer-A... management team (Mgmt-A)
Engineer-B... management team (Mgmt-B)
So if Engineer-A is on call and misses a call, we have a policy set up to page out to all members of 'Mgmt-A'.
This works well.
However, what we are looking for is if we put in an override for Engineer-A so Engineer-B is on call, we would need to put in an override for Mgmt-A so Mgmt-B is on call.
And it doesn't look like you can add in 'teams' as an override, only users.
Just wondering if anyone has had scenarios like this and what kind of workaround there could be.
I know we could just override 'Mgmt-A' with actual users... I was just hoping we would be able to do this with teams.
Hi @William Butt !
Currently it's only possible to add a user as an override for a shift in an on-call schedule. We do have a feature request to be able to override an entire team for a shift.
So like you said, the best option for now would be to add overrides for the members of the team, since you can't just add the whole team.
Please let us know if you have anymore questions!
Thanks,
Samir
