What does isSeen field refer to?

OpsGenie API for Alerts contain a isSeen: bool field for each alert.

What does this field exactly mean and how is it set?

Does it depend on the contact methods set (eg working for push notification but not for SMS or Email)?

Can an alert be acked but not seen?

isSeen refers to whether a user views the alert in the web or mobile application. So an alert be acked, and not seen.
