How to Sync GSuite groups to Atlassian Admin after enabling User Provisioning

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
After enabling User Provisioning with my gsuite domain, the Users in gsuite are being synced and appear in the admin page in the Directory tab BUT the groups in gsuite are not being synced and are not created in the admin page.
The 2 groups seen in the Atlassian admin page were created by me via the SCIM api, and those are not syncing with the matching groups in Gsuite either.
