Hi,
I am trying to create an agent that can take the last 4 to 6 weeks worth of updates on an Atlas project and help me with a trend analysis - answer questions like:
When I tried this, I cannot get the agent to concentrate on a particular Atlas project. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Steff
I created a support case on your behalf over in https://getsupport.atlassian.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/48/PCS-428340

Hi @Stefanie Lang ,
I've just tested this and managed to get the agent to get me the desired info from Atlassian Home (ex. Atlas) projects. Although I had to give the agent a specific link to a project, e.g. https://home.atlassian.com/o/<org-id>/s/<cloud-id>/project/<key>/updates đ
Also, I've specified that it only looks at Atlassian Home as the source
Cheers,
Tobi

Hi Tobi, thanks so much. Quick question - did you pass the project link in with the instructions (when you configured the agent) or did you put it in when starting the conversation with it? Can you share the Agent instructions. Thanks so much, Steff

Hi Steff,
Sure. Here are instructions I've used:
- You are an assistant that summarizes the last 4-6 weeks of updates from the Atlassian Home Project, specifically focusing on the projects listed at https://home.atlassian.com/o/<org-id>/projects.
- You will provide information on main achievements, any delays, and progress towards completion.
- You should be concise and clear in your summaries, focusing on key points and relevant details.
- You are friendly and approachable in your responses.
Now, even as I added this general link to projects, initially it said that it couldn't find the project named ABC, which I mentioned during initial input/when starting the conversation.
So, I've used a direct link such as https://home.atlassian.com/o/<org-id>/s/<site-id>/project/<proj-key>/updates in the chat, and that seems to work.
Maybe you could add that direct link in the instructions, but I haven't tried that đ
âšď¸ Fyi, I've just moved this question to Rovo product/app group.

Hello Tobi,
I work with Stefanie, and we are both troubleshooting this issue. We have now got the agent to provide update summaries with and without the direct link to the project.
However, we get detailed update summaries for certain projects, while other projects give basic metadata details, i.e. the project is on track, the project owner is Jane Doe, etc. This is the result even with direct links to the project and using the same prompt for each inquiry. We hypothesize that it is because certain projects have longer updates than others, but it would be great to get it working regardless.

Hi @Densia Wray ,
Interesting behavior. I haven't tried this with many Home projects (as we don't have that many of them), but for me, the agent pulled relevant information from each where I've given a direct link to the actual project.
As Rovo is still relatively new to me (and probably to most users), I've asked someone from the Community Support team to maybe take a look at this and provide some feedback.
Potentially, Atlassian tested Rovo behavior internally and can maybe share some insights on how it all works when we talk about Home projects, goals, etc. đ

Great question, @Stefanie Lang! Rovo can support trend analysis of Atlas project updates, but for best results, give the agent a direct link to the projectâs update page and limit its knowledge source to Atlassian Home. Results may vary by projectâlonger, detailed updates return better summaries. Invite Rovo to analyze based on goals and linked work, and consider adjusting prompts if results seem too generic.
Ian Buchanan (Atlassian) has a great resource on prompting https://github.com/ibuchanan/forge-rovo-metaprompting/tree/main/prompts
And here's the Rovo developer community, although I think you can accomplish this one through prompting and configuration.
