Turning off all subscribers

What happens if I turn off all the subscribers' functions on the notifications and only leave one on the components?  We have over 18,000 subscribers, so I do not want to cause a big headache.

If you turn off all subscriber notification functions except for the component subscriptions, only users who have explicitly subscribed to specific components will receive notifications about incidents and updates related to those components.

General subscribers who were receiving all notifications without specific component preferences will stop receiving updates unless they have chosen to subscribe to specific components. This will likely reduce the number of notifications being sent out.

To avoid a large-scale disruption, consider rolling out the change gradually, testing with a smaller group, or communicating clearly with your subscribers before implementing the change.
